Terra Cognita
Knowledge through data

At Terra Cognita, we aim to leverage sound decision-making through the perceptive analysis of data.

Extracting value from data is now at the heart of the informational economy. Data that are not analysed is like money that is neither invested nor spent - it's comfortable to have but provides no gain.

Sir Francis Bacon in 1597 wrote "ipsa scientia potestas est" (knowledge itself is power). He recognised that 'being in the know' created opportunities and wealth. His ideas underpinned Britain's transformation into a world power.

The knowledge that allows opportunities to be identified and decisions made is derived from data. Analysing data provides information which, when linked with other information, provides knowledge and understanding.

Terra Cognita is assisting clients in extracting advantage and value from data. We have been active in the business of data since 1999.
